Liquid Emulsion other techniques

The use of bromide emulsion in liquid form allows you to experiment on virtually any base material without being bound to precoated paper. To obtain "pictorial effects", such as the picture below (right), you can start using a suitable paper and then experimenting your own coating technique. To see another example click here

To start a serious work with such a technique I strongly recommend the book "Silver Gelatin" directly available from Silverprint Ltd. They also supply a liquid emulsion (SE1) with high silver content. Another manufacturer of liquid emulsion (also in variable contrast version) is Maco.
